đ Hertford Astronomy Group â Early Autumn Update!
Hello everyone,
We hope youâre enjoying the slightly darker evenings creeping back in â itâs starting to feel like proper observing season again. Before we dive into whatâs coming up, we want to say a huge thankâyou for the brilliant support at our recent events.
đ Thank you, Wheathampstead Village Day!
You were fantastic. The stall was busy all afternoon, and the number of people who stopped to chat, ask questions, and peer through the scopes was wonderful. A big thankâyou to everyone who helped set up, pack down, and talk to visitors â you made the day.

đ And thank you for the Bramfield Eclipse event!
What an evening. The turnout was enormous, the atmosphere was buzzing, and you handled the crowds beautifully. From safe solar viewing to answering endless questions, you all helped make it a memorable community event. Weâve had so much positive feedback â well done, everyone.

đ Now⊠we need your help again this Saturday!
This weekend weâre running another outreach session at the Howard Centre in Welwyn Garden City, and weâd love a few extra volunteers. Even an hour makes a huge difference.
You donât need any equipment â just enthusiasm and a willingness to chat to curious visitors.
To make things easy, weâve added a big friendly âCount me inâ button below. Tap it, pick a time, and youâre in.
And yes⊠Free parking for volunteers. And if the weather behaves⊠there may be an ice cream in it for you.

â Monthly Meeting â Wednesday 11 September
