Kevan NobleOne of many that sought an interesting hobby during Covid Lockdown, and chose Astrophotography. I have always been interested in science and space from a young age, so Astrophotography ticked all the boxes for me. I started off with basic equipment and quickly migrated to more advanced gear. The subject matter is almost infinite, with new concepts, equipment and image processing software. You just can't prepare yourself for the results of your first capture. An image from thousands or millions of light years away, which means that your image has just captured the light as it was thousands or millions of years ago. The most incredible part is that you achieved this from your back garden. The community spirit of Astrophotographers is the biggest prize. Always friendly, and sharing knowledge to help you progress in this hobby. There are many forums, social media, and YouTube channels to learn from, and interact with. I joined the Hertford Astronomy Group in 2021 and really enjoy the camaraderie, interaction, regular talks, events and presentations.
